About The Jynx

The Jynx is a new progressive rock band hailing from Red Hook, Brooklyn, NYC. Founded by the two original members of the band According to Wendy, Steve Holder (bass, backing vocals) and Chris DaSilva (vocals, guitar), The Jynx also includes Kevin "The Kochman" Koch (drums, percussion).

Adopting the principals of their former band, Chris and Steve set out to continue writing catchy melodic songs, and within just a couple of months had an extended repertoire and brought Kevin to tie it all together.

The music styles of The Jynx vary widely, from modern rock to rootsy reggae, soulful blues to alt-country. The common thread throughout all these songs and styles is a memorable melody and catchy hook.
